thanksgiving

We had a great thanksgiving with some wonderful people. Its so nice to be welcomed into someone's home; Adam and Amy and their two kids. To have fellowship once again feels great. I've really missed adult time and conversation.
This is the second time we've been to their house. The first was a week or so ago. It went as well as it could until Adeline pooped her pants and didn't tell anyone until we started finding pieces of poop on the floor. This could have been dangerous since we all just ate brownies. Imagine if it had been mistaken! Thankfully they saw past that and invited us back again, this time for thanksgiving dinner.
Never underestimate the power of good company. It does so much.
We showed up around 3. Mike parked alongside a snowbank, which is impossible not to do so now, but I struggled getting myself, Adeline, and one twin out on the car. I ended up swallowing my pride and stepped into the knee deep snow.
The house smelled great, I was super excited. I didn't bring any food for a number of reasons, but we did bring drinks.
Amy's folks and Adam's folks were there. Usually I would feel uncomfortable crashing another family's thanksgiving dinner, but these people oozed welcome and comfort.
Adeline ran in circles with their children, the babies were passed around, and Amy even let me use her breast pump so we could stay a bit longer. Now that has something to be said.
Good times
Good food
Good new friends

Hoping it continues

  1. I'm hoping it continues too! And I am really glad that you had a good time.

I hope you were okay with me posting pictures of the kids on my blog... I figured since you post them here it was a safe bet. Please let me know if not though.
